"These Things I Remember" is a dance with five scenes beginning with the Spanish Inquisition of 1492, then Morocco in the 1700s, Turkey in the 1800s, Salonica in 1943 and Today. In the fourth scene we are transported to the Nazi Period and the deportations of the Greek Jews from Salonika. The agonizing time is given voice in Mayo Fintz's poem set to music by the Sephardic composer Flory Jagoda. Somehow, some few Jews and their heirlooms survive.
